My wife and I sold everything we had in the States a few years ago and moved with our three children to the mountains of Costa Rica. Needless to say, our lives have changed drastically. We really pulled a Thoreau and Simplified, Simplified, Simplified our lives. I am an English teacher here, and I do a lot of freelance writing to help pay for our trips to the incredible beaches here and throughout Central America. I am now working on a book about people (real-famous or ordinary, fictional-in books or film) who have faced incredible odds with humor, courage, and determination. Whether they won or lost the battle doesn't particularly matter to me. I decided to try creating blog site to give me the chance to talk to other writers and to anyone else who would like to know more about the beauties and difficulties of living in Costa Rica.
